The Bridled Tongue
Albert N. Martin

“By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:27). “If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain” (James 1:26). We speak every day, but seldom do we consider the eternal consequences. Speech governed by Scriptural principle and the Holy Spirit is a clear indicator that our religion is not in vain. Pastor Martin expounds and applies the Word of God to the heart and conscience in one of his most popular and well-known series — highlighting the importance of the issue, exposing some common sins of the tongue, and offering practical instruction on how to Biblically construct a bridle for this unruly member.
