The Bridled Tongue
Albert N. Martin

“By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matthew 12:27). “If any man thinketh himself to be religious, while he bridleth not his tongue but deceiveth his heart, this man's religion is vain” (James 1:26). We speak everyday, but too seldom do we consider the eternal consequences of what we say. And yet the bridled tongue—speech governed by scriptural principle and the Holy Spirit—is still the measure of true religion. Pastor Martin expounds and applies the Word of God to the heart and conscience in these messages, highlighting from the Scriptures the importance of this issue, some common sins of the tongue, and in the last two messages offering practical instruction on how Biblically we can construct a bridle for this unruly member. One of the most popular and well-known series by Pastor Martin.
